COMMENT: The samples obtained from thyroid nodulation region contain a high infiltration of cells of lymphoid origin with a significant predominance of lymphocytes and activated intermediates immature stages or lymphoblasts detriment of adult stages of small lymphocytes This intermediate population has irregular morphology histiocytic indentation or nuclear cleft and presence thin clear cytoplasmic vacuoles, have coarse chromatin pattern and scant cytoplasm. DISCUSSION: aspirated cytology of thyroid region are to malignancy of lymphoid origin, thyroid lymphoma, which falls intermediate subpopulations of lymphocytes and lymphoblasts, showing a significant mitotic activity. Therefore the establishment of a specific treatment against this type of tumor and the assessment of a serum calcium and thyroid profile to assess the current functionality of the thyroid gland is recommended.
